The artist prepares the canvas by hand.

 

 

If the customer wishs to order a painting in special sizes,

the artist has to use prepared canvas which she order from

the supplier.

First, she is connecting the wood.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With a hammer she is knocking on

the ends of the strips, so that they attach

together in the miter.

 

 

 

 

After the stretcher has assembled,

she spans a stable cotton over the frame

and attaches it on the back of the painting

with a stapler.
